Position Overview

Arnold Ventures believes that health care should be affordable and accessible for families, employers, and taxpayers. To achieve this vision, Arnold Ventures’ Health Care portfolio advances evidence-based solutions that address both the high price we pay for health care and the value we get from those investments. We seek to drive lasting change that spans the health care landscape, with a focus on: Drug Prices, Commercial Sector Prices, Medicare Sustainability, Provider Payment Incentives, Complex Care, and Clinical Trials. The team works with experts from inside and outside government to reform the health care system through evidence generation, policy development, communications, technical assistance, and advocacy to support policy change. 

We are seeking an Analyst to help provide support mission-critical operational and substantive projects to advance the team’s objectives. They will have an opportunity to support team operations, work closely with team members on health policy related issues and high impact, strategically aligned projects and philanthropic investments. The position plays a key role in interacting with stakeholders, including external partners and internal colleagues (e.g., health care, legal, finance, grants management, advocacy, and communications). This position will be located in the Washington, DC office and reports to the Director of Health Care – Chief of Staff. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and analytical support to advance the Health Care portfolio’s strategic goals and objectives
  • Provide analytical and operational support for the Health Care team, including active collaboration with team members on grants management and team process management
  • Support the development of written materials and presentations that elevate strategic priorities for diverse audiences, including composing, fact-checking, updating, and or editing such content
  • Support inter-department connectivity and work collaboratively with other cross-functional teams
  • Actively contribute to team meetings regarding projects, identifying new areas of opportunity, and brainstorming areas for improvement

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in a related field including part-time work or internships, and experience managing complex projects, research, or policy reform
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to summarize and communicate key takeaways to diverse, nontechnical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and other key stakeholders
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to analyze opportunities and challenges, assess potential solutions, and articulate tradeoffs

The salary range for this position will be $75,000-$90,000.
