This week, AV’s Higher Education team released a new report highlighting how our current higher education quality assurance system is insufficient, neither addressing low-performing institutions nor rewarding institutions’ improvement in student outcomes. This leaves too many students — and taxpayers — on the hook for programs that do not provide real value.
Co-authored by AV Vice President for Higher Education Kelly McManus and higher education experts Clare McCann and Rory O'Sullivan, the report notes that restoring trust in our higher education system requires congressional action to hold colleges accountable for providing the education they promise — and to reward the many institutions that are doing well by their students.
