Arnold Ventures’ Statement on the Supreme Court Ruling on Trump v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

We are disappointed by the Court’s ruling that grants employers broad discretion to opt out of covering birth control for their employees. Birth control is essential health care that helps people plan for strong, healthy lives and families on their timeline, and there’s no meaningful access without financial access. This rollback will hit low-wage workers especially hard, at a time when the last thing they need is another bill to pay on top of a pandemic and a recession. People’s decisions about if and when to have children do not belong in their employer’s hands.
