Anna Pomper
Anna provides strategic support and helps manage the grantmaking portfolio for the Criminal Justice Team at Arnold Ventures. Her work includes identification of new investment opportunities in the criminal justice reform space, as well as management of existing grants, with a lens towards enhancing systemic equity, fairness, and effectiveness.
Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, she worked at the Center for Justice Innovation (CJI) on Project RESET, a pre-arraignment program diverting people from court. While at CJI she authored an arts and diversion toolkit in collaboration with the New Museum, Brooklyn Museum, and Project RESET staff on best practices for arts-based diversion programming. Previously Anna worked at the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia, supporting the work of the special litigation team on motions for juvenile re-sentencing. While attending the University of Michigan, Anna worked at Poverty Solutions, the school’s policy lab working to prevent and alleviate poverty, on topics including housing and homelessness and prosecutorial transparency and data collection.
Anna received her master’s in public policy from the University of Michigan and holds a bachelor's degree in comparative literature from Williams College.
