Brett Abbott
Brett is responsible for maintaining both on-site and remote functionality of Arnold Ventures’ technology systems and hardware. Brett loves to see things kept simple and as friction free as possible for the users he supports and develops processes and projects to further that goal. In addition, he is helping develop new ways to improve, secure and expand IT services to further Arnold Ventures mission.
Before joining to Arnold Ventures, Brett was the IT Director for Community of Hope and helped them transition from a locally hosted environment to cloud based solution that improved staff access and coordination across all eleven of Community of Hope’s sites. He has worked on the entire gamut of IT services and brings a wide range of experience to Arnold Ventures.
Previously, Brett worked at a large international toy company where he began as the U.S. Factory Manager, moved up to the U.S. IT Director, and then as he Global IT Director where he relocated to the UK for this role. After returning to the U.S., Brett focused his skillset and passion on providing IT support to organizations that make the world a better place.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Maryland. Brett lives with his wife, son, and rescue Husky in Maryland and on the weekends can be found visiting historic sites around the country.
