Dan leads Arnold Ventures' infrastructure portfolios for energy and permitting. In this role, he oversees AV’s efforts to develop and enact policies that can successfully improve America's ability to build vital infrastructure, including the deployment of the clean energy and grid infrastructure needed to meet the needs of a growing economy.

Previously, Dan worked for more than a decade in federal and state policymaking. Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Dan served at the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB), where he advised White House leadership on budget, management, regulatory, and legislative strategies for a portfolio of federal agencies, including the Departments of Energy, Agriculture, and the Interior, the National Science Foundation, NASA, and the Environmental Protection Agency. He also helped direct OMB’s efforts to implement major energy and infrastructure laws. Additionally, Dan has worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Colorado Energy Office, Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, and Environmental Protection Agency.

Dan holds a master of science in environmental science, master of public affairs, and bachelor of science from Indiana University. He currently lives in Washington D.C., enjoys biking, and has yet to meet a mountain he hasn’t wanted to climb.
