Emily Williams
Emily serves as the Manager for External Affairs at Arnold Ventures. As a member of the External Affairs team, she works to advance then organization’s efforts to build and strengthen relationships with policymakers, stakeholders, and external partners – both on the federal and state-level – to further Arnold Ventures’ mission to champion evidence-based, nonpartisan solutions that work to tackle some of the most pressing problems in the United States.
Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Emily was the Senior Advocacy Manager at ACT for NIH. In this role, she supported the organization’s mission of making biomedical research funding a national priority. Before that, she began her career as a political fundraiser, most recently working for Governor Roy Cooper of North Carolina and Senator Claire McCaskill (D-MO). In these roles, Emily developed successful fundraising strategies and worked to cultivate strong donor networks across the country for each candidate.
Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Washington University in St. Louis, and now lives in her hometown of Houston, Texas with her rescue pup, Poppy.
