Hans Riemer

Vice President of Advocacy, Infrastructure

Hans Riemer leads Arnold Ventures advocacy work for infrastructure policy at federal, state, and local levels. In this role, he works with the infrastructure team and a diverse coalition of partners on the ground to craft and implement policies that help our country build necessary infrastructure faster, better, and at lower cost.

Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Hans was a senior consultant for the Department of Energy’s Loan Programs Office, where he led state and local engagement initiatives. Hans previously served as a member of the Montgomery County Council in Maryland, where he championed reforms to build more housing, new transportation infrastructure, and clean energy.

Prior to serving in elective office, Hans was the national youth vote director for Obama for America, political director for Rock the Vote, Social Security project director for the Campaign for America’s Future, and was the founder of a​ youth nonprofit policy advocacy organization called the 2030 Center, among other roles.

Hans received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
