Laura Fagbemi
Laura oversees grant reporting and compliance for the Health Care portfolio. She holds an array of project management responsibilities throughout the grantmaking lifecycle, from the review of crucial data and documentation to the development and improvement of key operational processes.
Before becoming a Grants Manager, Laura supported Arnold Ventures’ Grants Team as an analyst. During her time as a Grants Analyst, she facilitated critical data analysis and data integrity efforts within Arnold Ventures' grants management system. She provided strategic, centralized support to the Grants Team and operated the signature process for charitable grants and contracts.
Before joining Arnold Ventures, Laura worked with the Texas Policy Lab on a quantitative research project evaluating the effects of a risk-assessment-based bail reform policy launched in El Paso County. She also served as a research assistant in Rice University’s Sociology Department, sourcing citations for a scholarly piece published in Punishment and Society.
Laura graduated magna cum laude from Rice University, where she double majored in Social Policy Analysis and English and minored in Politics, Law, and Social Thought. She earned University Distinction in Research and Creative Works, the Minter Award for Outstanding Graduating English Major, and a Leadership Stipend Award from the Doerr Institute.
