Meredith Peebles
Meredith serves as strategic partner and counsel to the Criminal Justice leadership team and staff, manages operational activities as well as cross-cutting projects. She develops and maintains interdepartmental relationships and is responsible for ensuring strategic alignment as well as maximizing capacity and efficiency across the Criminal Justice team.
Before joining Arnold Ventures, Meredith was the managing director of Atento Capital, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on investing in the underinvested. In this role she was the primary decision maker regarding the business processes related to and on behalf of the firm, led the management team and was the trusted advisor of the General Partner. Meredith also developed the impact strategy and measurement for the firm in support of the philanthropic place-based economic mobility priorities of their LP, a family foundation. Prior to her work at Atento Capital, Meredith was a vice president and senior nonprofit strategist at PNC Institutional Asset Management and the chief operating officer of the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation.
Meredith received her MPA with a concentration in non-profit management and bachelor’s in economics with honors from the University of Oklahoma. She has consistently been involved with non-profit organizations and currently serves on the 36 Degrees North Board of Directors. Her past board service has included the Tulsa Area United Way Social Innovation Committee, President of the Tulsa’s Young Professionals Foundation and Vice President of the College Bound Academy Board. Meredith resides in Houston, TX with her husband and son.
