Mohammed Abdi
Mohammed provides strategic support for the Medicare Sustainability and Provider Payment Incentives portfolios as part of the Health Care Team. His work includes in-depth policy research and analysis to strengthen Medicare’s fiscal sustainability and advance payment reform efforts.
Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Mohammed built a diverse background in health policy and government relations spanning local, state, and federal levels. He began his journey interning at Maverick Health Policy, a Washington D.C.-based consulting firm, where he helped clients adapt to changes in federal health policies and industry advancements. He then interned at Michigan Medicine, working under the Chief Government Relations Officer on policy issues affecting providers. Most recently, Mohammed served as a policy analyst at Public Affairs Associates, collaborating with healthcare organizations and state legislators at Michigan's state capitol on various health-related issues. Additionally, he led local campaigns in Detroit for political candidates prioritizing public health policies.
Mohammed received his master of public health in health management and policy from the University of Michigan and holds a bachelor’s degree in public health from Wayne State University.
