Rachel Pollock
Rachel Pollock leads the external affairs team for Arnold Ventures, building relationships with policymakers across the political spectrum at the local, state, and federal levels and uniting broad coalitions around data-driven policy solutions.
Prior to joining the advocacy, external Affairs, and communications team at Arnold Ventures, Pollock was vice president of ACT for NIH, where she led efforts to make biomedical research funding a national priority. Before that, she was senior advisor to the Director of the NIH. She previously served as appropriations director for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and as policy director for the Aspen Institute. She started her career as a legislative analyst in the Office of Management and Budget.
Pollock earned her law degree from Washington College of Law at American University and a bachelor’s degree in U.S. History from the University of California at Berkeley. She lives in Montgomery County with her family and enjoys yoga, cooking, and running with her rambunctious coonhound.
