Roxanne Almaraz
Roxanne is the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Arnold Ventures, overseeing the Legal, Grants, Information Technology, Operational Planning and Data Strategy, and Administrative departments, and playing a critical role in the overall operations of the organization.
Prior to joining Arnold Ventures, Roxanne was a partner with a global AmLaw 30 law firm, where she represented strategic and financial investors engaging in complex M&A, joint venture, and other business transactions. She began her legal career as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Barbara M. G. Lynn, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Texas. Roxanne has received professional recognition by publications such as Texas Monthly, The Legal 500 United States, Texas Lawyer, and the Houston Business Journal.
Roxanne holds a J.D. from Stanford Law School and a B.S. and B.J. in corporate communication and journalism, respectively, from the University of Texas at Austin. She is an active member of the Houston community, serving on the board of directors of the Houston Parks Board and Discovery Green Conservancy, and formerly serving on the board of directors of the Houston Zoo.
