Two New Ways to Learn What Actually Works

The Evidence and Evaluation team has launched two new requests for proposals to strengthen and build evidence of proven programs, policies, and interventions.

What programs and policies actually work to improve the lives of the American people?

Arnold Ventures’ Evidence and Evaluation team is starting the year by launching two new Request for Proposals (RFP) aimed at answering that critical question.

The Strengthening Evidence” RFP will fund rigorous randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluate innovative social programs and policies. The Building Evidence” RFP will fund rigorous, causal research using quasi-experimental methods that align with key AV policy areas, including higher education, career education and training, infrastructure, contraceptive choice and access, and public finance. This RFP process is specifically intended to help build the body of proven programs, policies, and interventions that can be implemented by lawmakers.

Our goal is to support relevant, rigorous work that can effectively inform policy decisions and measurably improve outcomes for families and communities across the United States,” said Justin Milner, Arnold Ventures executive vice president of evidence and evaluation.

Letters of interest (LOIs) are due by Friday, March 14th
